Abstract

The purpose here is to indicate and explain the range of factors necessary to translate strategy and purpose into productive, effective and profitable activities. This involves a process that consists of:

  • assessing whether what is envisaged is feasible or sensible;

  • gathering and allocating resources for the purpose;

  • creating and developing an organisation that is suitable to the purpose;

  • creating and developing sub- and supporting strategies that reinforce and energise the chosen purpose;

  • creating suitable coordination and control features, together with effective means of monitoring, review and evaluation of activities.
