Conclusion: Emerging Challenges for Research and Practice

  • Chapter
Voluntary Agencies

Abstract

This book provides a unique record of current understanding of the organisational challenges facing the voluntary sector. Not only have the authors addressed ‘real world’ questions, they have also had their findings and arguments scrutinised by a group of experienced voluntary sector managers. As a result, this volume provides a substantial bridge between theory and practice. Its publication also reflects the major developments in research and in interest about the voluntary sector which have been made since the early days of the Centre for Voluntary Organisation fifteen years ago.
