Abstract

The careful thought needed to design and implement a fully functional database should be considered as an investment which will pay handsome dividends at later stages in the research process. Querying also demands attention to detail in order to ensure that the correct information is retrieved. Some suggested guidelines for interrogating a database or textbase are set out in Figure 6.1.
