Abstract

In May 1911, the Diputació of the province of Barcelona proposed that plans be drawn up for a commonwealth or Mancomunitat of the four Catalan provinces. Only the four Radical deputies voted against the proposal, which had the support of the Republican nationalists and the dynastic Monarchists. In October of the same year, these plans were approved by the Diputacions of all four Catalan provinces, again with the support of the dynastic Monarchists.
