Abstract
In recent years we have heard repeated recommendations from various politicians for the introduction of a Marshall Plan for the Eastern European countries. I have always asked myself whether the time that has elapsed since the European Recovery Program (ERP) (the Marshall Plan) has perhaps softened its contours in the mind of many such politicians so as to hide from them its actual features. It is with this in mind that I am going to propose a short revisitation of the Marshall Plan, hoping to be able at the end to offer some thoughts on its applicability to the present-day problems of Eastern Europe.
