Abstract

There have been a number of studies of inequality, but what one encounters in these studies is that they are undertaken by clearly demarcated advocacy organizations. In this regard, there is always the suspicion that the facts are taken in a manner so as to serve a particular advocacy position. I think the essays in this volume, and the conclusions drawn, allow the establishment of an objective common base.
