Chapter

Abstract

In Chapter 4 we examined the way in which the men and women in this study have been incorporated into the British labour market, along with the strategies they adopted in an attempt to influence the direction their employment opportunities should and would eventually take. This represents one aspect of their situation in Britain, but what effect does structural racism, operating within the labour market, have on how they make sense of their position in British society?
