Abstract

The original temporary posting to Glasgow, where the Jesuits had a parish, at St Joseph’s, North Woodside, within the city, was for the last two weeks of August 1881, but it was extended to two months, perhaps to give more respite to the priests who belonged to this notably hard-working community.
