Women and the Post-Revolutionary State

  • Homa Omid

Abstract

Women are amongst the most notable standard-bearers of the Islamic revolution and have continued to carry the burden of representing its public face to the world. Thus, though it is possible to argue that in terms of political impact the Islamic revolution has fallen far short of its own goals, the impact of the revolution on the lives of women in the country has been marked and catastrophic.
