Abstract
Governments, in all countries and of all political persuasions, continually affirm, in as many as possible of their public statements, their undying devotion to the United Nations and all its purposes and principles. They continually express, as often as they decently can, as they have done for the past half-century, their determination to uphold its objectives, to strengthen its effectiveness, and to love, cherish and preserve it in every possible way.
