Abstract

The research, policies and services which are concerned with the assistance that some people need to go about their daily lives have all used and abused the term ‘care’ in a way which is oppressive to those identified as being in need of ‘care’, those identified as ‘dependent people’. Consequently, people who need physical assistance are being denied both human and civil rights.
