Noise Connected with Layout or Construction

  • Chapter
Electronic Noise and Low Noise Design

Abstract

This chapter is concerned with noise arising from a source which is essentially external to the susceptible (low signal level) circuit under consideration - noise which is coupled into the circuit as opposed to the intrinsic noise generated within the circuit elements. This type of noise is strongly linked to circuit layout and construction techniques rather than to the circuit design itself. It is often called interference and may be random or deterministic.
