The Cult of Violence: The Swedish Racist Counterculture

  • Heléne Lööw

This chapter explores the new radical and revolutionary racism, which has emerged in Sweden during the 1980s and early 1990s, and aims to describe the various organisations, their ideology and political strategies.1 First of all, however, it should be noted that the Swedish racist counterculture is relatively small. Although the past two years have witnessed gradual growth in the movement, the estimated number of activists, members and sympathisers remains at no more than 500–600.
