The Soviet Union on the Road to Market Economy
Up to 1989 the administrative system in the Soviet Union underwent partial changes. The basic principless remained intact: the leading role of the Party, domination of the state. form of ownership, monopoly of Marxism in the ideological life, fear as an instrument of political power. The first attempt of restructuring did not satisfy the society, nor did it resolve the State of crisis. On the contrary, it only aggravated the situation.
