Abstract

The Federal Office for Economic Competition has been established as the central office in the administration of the CSFR for support and protection of competition (by constitutional law No. 296/1990). The activities of the Office have been defined by the Law on competition protection (No. 63/1991), which came into force on 1 March 1991. Today, the office has 70 employees. Of the university-educated staff 50 per cent are lawyers and 50 per cent economists.
