Abstract

In this chapter we will be looking at some ways in which women managers in the personal social services and those women who may become managers can develop strategies to alter their situations so that they can do their jobs more effectively, and obtain more satisfaction from them. We will also look at what can be done by organisations (and the people who currently manage them) and by society at large to encourage more women into management posts.
