Abstract
A port is a pair of terminals in a network where a signal may either enter or leave. A two-port network is a class of multi-port networks, which have more than one port. Figure 8.1 shows a general block diagram of a two-port network, which has voltage V 1 between the terminals of one port, and V 2 between the terminals of the other port. A condition which must be satisfied in all two-port networks is I 1 = I 3 and I 2 = I 4 .
