Abstract
Looking East over the Chimanimani mountains of Zimbabwe into neighbouring Mozambique, the spectacular beauty of this forbidden land is striking. Down by the South African border at Komatipoort the lush quality of the banana-growing farm land on the South African side makes it hard to believe that the same potential is not also found on the Mozambican side. One wonders what the problem is.
