Abstract

We have already seen that the production of any good or service uses up scarce resources. In this chapter we are concerned with the human input which economists refer to as labour. However, labour does not work in isolation and in this sense there is a connection between labour and the other factors of production: land, capital and enterprise. In addition, since inputs are related to output, this chapter is related to Chapter 7 on Production.
