Abstract

In April 1969, Mosul provided the setting for festivities of an unusual nature. On April 10, in the presence of Commander-in-Chief and RCC member General Hammad Shihab, and under the auspices of President Ahmad Hasan al-Bakr, the city’s ‘First Spring Festival’ was inaugurated.
