Abstract

It has been a while since I opened my worn copy of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. Writing this response to John Hick’s last chapter made me turn to it again because I needed to quote correctly the book’s last line: ‘What we cannot speak about we must pass over in silence’.
