Abstract
Many practical applications of transmission lines are concerned with signals that vary sinusoidally with time, or that can be represented by a spectrum of sinusoids occupying a small band of frequencies. Therefore, a large part of transmission-line theory deals with steady-state sinusoidal excitation.
