Abstract
According to Sergio Saviane: ‘L’italiano (lui, soprattutto, ma anche lei) é così suscettibile (touchy) e presuntuoso (conceited), che non ha nemmeno il tempo di fare autocritica e di vedere i suoi vizi e difetti’. So, given this apparent lack of self-criticism, Saviane decided to take it upon himself to communicate to the Italian nation what he considered those vices and defects to be.
