Abstract
Beyond the mighty Jupiter lies the second biggest planet of the Solar System — Saturn. Also a gas giant world, Saturn has an equatorial diameter of 120 000km and a mass of 95 times that of the Earth. The average density of Saturn is a mere 700kg/m3, less dense than water! Saturn moves through the Solar System at a mean distance of 1400 million km from the Sun, taking 29½ years to complete one orbit.
