Abstract
Drug abuse has, in the last two decades, come to represent a– major challenge to the health and welfare services. Reports– would suggest that the problem has increased dramatically– during this period, and continues to do so. The recent– national campaign by the Health Education Council, aimed– at informing young people of the dangers inherent in abuse,– has occurred in response to the growing concern among– political and professional groups, and the public at large.–
