Part of the book series: Youth Questions ((YQ))

Abstract

In marking out the limits and possibilities of the ‘Looking Out’ organisation and the Southwark Project initiative at the end of the last chapter, we have also reached the end of the substantial account of our project. It remains the task of this final chapter to summarise the account and offer a conclusion. We have, eventually, chosen to do this in a way which stresses the underlying educational argument which runs throughout the account. This constitutes our summary and from there we go on to make a further set of general points in the style of a series of recommendations for further practice. In between the summary and recommendations we have felt it necessary to offer a brief description of some other aspects of our wage labouring context which relate to the youth photography projects and which have a bearing upon how the reader can locate the overall account and assess our concluding remarks. Altogether, then, we have gone for a conclusion which we intend to be of practical use to workers and those interested in working within the field of contemporary popular cultural studies.
