Abstract
The annual abstract of statistics publishes various time-series relating to the personnel and fixed capital resources employed in the delivery of medical services. Among the most useful tabulations for the purpose of analysis are the ones which record the numbers of doctors, paramedical staff and hospital beds; these ‘input’ or ‘production’ indicators demonstrate very substantial improvement over the last quarter-century.
