Abstract

The market is central to New Right thinking. Chapter 2 linked this reliance upon the market with the liberal foundations of New Right ideas. In this chapter the role of the market in New Right liberalism is examined in detail. Its relationship to political freedom — the subject of Chapter 3 — is examined.
