Abstract

We have described a number of design techniques and construction tools that will be of general use in the production of real-time software. The ideas discussed are generally independent of application, environment, size or speed of the system being built. Nevertheless, any design must be brought to the point where it is implemented as software executed by hardware. Therefore, in closing, we briefly examine just a few new trends in hardware and software development. –:
