Abstract

To achieve the aims set out in the previous chapter — to preserve life and to resolve the crisis with minimum loss of assets and minimum disruption of commercial operations — a two-tier structure is desirable: a Crisis Management Committee (CMC) at corporate level and Incident Management Teams (IMT) at local or subsidiary level. Both should have been established previously to conduct contingency planning and will be activated immediately if a crisis occurs.
