Abstract

Earlier chapters have discussed the complex and interactive nature of the relationship between technological and economic changes at the macroeconomic level; of the relationship between market signals, technological discoveries and the decision-making process at the microeconomic level of the firm; of the relationship between micro-level and macro-level events; and of the changing nature of these relationships over time.
