Summary and Conclusion

Abstract

Our aim in this book has been to review a substantial part of the literature on technological change and to explore certain ideas which suggest the possibility of convergence and synthesis of previously separate research traditions. It is therefore appropriate for this brief concluding chapter to take the form of a summary of some of the principal themes which have emerged in preceding chapters, and the areas where convergence is most apparent.
