Abstract
The rules under which the 1984 Euro-elections were conducted in Britain were almost the same as in 1979. The electoral system was unchanged and so, broadly, were the legal and administrative arrangements. But at the national level there was a redrawing of constituency boundaries and, at European level, there were new provisions for subsidising parties and public information campaigns.
