Abstract
In 1935, Gordon Allport viewed the attitude concept as being ‘the most distinctive and indispensable concept in contemporary social psychology’ (Allport, 1935). Indeed, Allport has since reiterated his original belief in the fundamental importance of attitudes to social psychology (Allport, 1968).
