Abstract

Fractures of the humerus can be classed into the following six groups:

  1. (1)

    fractures of the greater tuberosity

  2. (2)

    fractures of the neck of the humerus

  3. (3)

    fractures of the shaft of the humerus

  4. (4)

    supracondylar fractures

  5. (5)

    condylar fractures

  6. (6)

    epicondylar fractures

Figure 11.1 illustrates this classification, the numbers on the illustration coinciding with those in the list.
