Abstract
In making the best selection there are several steps, each of which must be considered in detail before the next step is reached:
-
1.
identify objectives and benefits
-
2.
prepare system specification
-
3.
establish constraints
-
4.
select potential suppliers
-
5.
establish selection criteria
-
6.
final selection
We have considered the identification of objectives and benefits in Chapter 7 and this is a very important first stage which should be thoroughly examined. Once it has been completed to everyone’s satisfaction, then the next step is the preparation of a system specification.
