A Communication-based Methodology for Research into, and Development of, Management Control Systems
Communication is a vital part of the management control process. If one wishes to cause things to happen as a result of the actions of others, communication is essential — organised or coordinated activity is impossible without it. It follows that the quality of communication in a work group is critical and that effective communication is a necessary (though obviously not sufficient) condition for effective management control.
