Abstract
No excuse is offered for discussing this aspect of oral communication in some detail. Indeed, as everyone in business spends so much of his time in meetings of one kind or another, it would be wrong not to cover it as thoroughly as possible. However, it is still not possible to include in this book all the intricacies of meetings’ procedure and practice. Students requiring this are advised to consult a specialist book on meetings (one or more is usually to be found in any good library).
