Tax Considerations

Abstract

When companies make profits and individuals receive incomes above a certain level, they are obliged to pay tax to the government. Companies pay corporation tax. Individuals pay income tax. The government use the taxes to finance projects related to education, social services and defence etc. The taxes are of concern to investors in so far as they reduce the returns from their investments.
