Abstract

Chapters 10 to 21 provide a range of examples of different approaches to research, but nevertheless some basic aspects of research methods cannot be illustrated from these twelve reports. The purpose of this chapter is to give brief summaries of five additional studies; the reasons for the inclusion of each study will become evident as it is discussed. The first three are examples of field research using qualitative data, and these supplement the four reports included as Chapters 11, 19, 20 and 21.
