Abstract
This chapter looks at some of the implications of encouraging teamwork in an organisation. Although many people tend to look on teamwork as an unreservedly good thing, it is equally possible to argue that individual creativeness and independence are as good or better, or to support competitiveness as the right form of organisation. So why should people in an organisation put themselves into teams, and what are the problems and issues which arise out of their doing so?
