Abstract
In this chapter the results of applying the second classification of labour market experiences — job stability — are presented and its relation to a wide range of data is discussed in an attempt to distinguish between relatively successful and unsuccessful early labour market careers. Data on the young people’s incomes are also examined and finally, the concepts of job stability and subemployment are discussed briefly as a prelude to the analysis of employers and training in the next two chapters.
