Abstract

The nursing of children can be totally demanding. It can be frustrating, stressful and exhausting, but it can also be fun. Powers of observation and sensitivity will be sharpened just because small children are so dependent on adults. Children find it difficult to tell you how they feel. They may not ask for what they need and their vocabulary may test your ingenuity — as well as burn your ears at times! But children are not isolated beings — they come in families.
