Welfare Workers and the Changing British State

It is not to imply that welfare workers are in any obvious way more important than the people they work with and for, rather that they face a number of separate and different problems from other types of workers. This work is mainly directed at those differences; differences that we feel emerge precisely because we work for welfare aspects of the British state.
