Abstract

A major responsibility of management is ensuring that the operation of an organisation is effectively co-ordinated and controlled. Various procedures, rules and regulations serve as controls in ensuring that working practices comply with normal efficient operations. Information systems are operated so that individual tasks may be more effectively co-ordinated and controlled and organisational performance can be more effectively monitored and reviewed.
