The Framework for Choice

  • Chapter
Choices for Health Care

Abstract

In chapter 1 some of the problems associated with decision-making and planning in health care have been mentioned. It is not suggested either that there is one single approach which can overcome all these problems or that there is a simple solution to them. None the less, in this and the next two chapters certain techniques are discussed which if applied can lead to improved decision-making in health care. This chapter deals with the framework for planning, the next two examine the framework and techniques for evaluation of options.
