Abstract

In chapter 2 we discussed the formation of the various signals which together make up the composite signal broadcast by the transmitter. Now we shall look at these signals in some detail and study their waveforms. The design of a TV receiver is based on the existence of standardised video signals; knowledge of their waveforms helps the servicing technician in fault-finding or setting-up.
