Abstract

In this chapter we want to concentrate on a subject that may appear at first glance to have more connection with physics than with TV engineering. To appreciate how the transmission and reception of colour TV signals has been made possible, we must examine the whole process of colour perception, or—as one may say—the illusion of colour.
