Abstract

There is a need for more information to be made available to the general public on the subject of Appropriate Technology, in both the developed and the developing countries. In the developing countries a better understanding and acceptance of the Appropriate Technology methods is required; this is a problem of general education. The journal Appropriate Technology, published by I.T.D.G., is a good source of information on A.T. developments. In order that Appropriate Technology should develop, it is also necessary to have a favourable economic and political climate, which will take different forms and priorities in different areas.

I want to change things. I want to see things happen. I don’t want just to talk about them.

J. K. Galbraith
