Abstract
ICFTU has affiliated trade union bodies in 91 countries (mostly pro-West). It promotes the development of trade union structures and congresses, especially in the Third World. It has set up an international Solidarity Fund to aid unionists persecuted for their activities wherever this may occur; and it passes resolutions and makes representations on human rights issues.
